Launched at the start of the 3rd millennium, the Gaps of memory Project comprises over 100 hours of recorded testimonies from people – both famous and anonymous – who resisted ‘from the very beginning’ of the Second World War. There is also a historical film collection of 20 films, not to mention previously unpublished and very rare photographs of the Liberation of Europe from 6th June 1944 on.
The phrase ‘Never forget’ is the central theme of this original historical project, which was filmed from the very end of the 20th century onwards and launched with the support and funding of our numerous partners through the years and decennia.

This project features exclusive original testimonies from people who resisted Nazism from the very beginning. Why did they want to testify? All of them wished to share their WWII stories so that future generations would never have to go through ‘that’ again.
Because we must remember what happened during the second world war, in the hope that we do not repeat the same mistakes.
