IRDECOF was set up 35 years ago by Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Yves Bessières and PhD Pat Niedzcky 35 years ago and has initiated more than a few pioneer projects since 1989.
Our actions
Irdecof’s main objectives aim at implementing European pionier European projects
For instance, IRDECOF’s WW2 Heritage Project ‘The Gaps Of Memory’ has been developed since the late 1990s through reaping opportunities such as film showings in theatres and on TV for the eponymous film collection about the spirit of Resistance in 1939-45. This ambitious Project also encompasses exclusive testimonies of active Resistance fighters and survivors, and contains unique (so far unpublished) photographic funds or documents about the Liberation of Europe by the Allied Armies from June 1944 on.
